ROBERT WEATHERS
Robert Weathers is a member of 17th Illinois Territorial Rangers CO "B".  He served as Quartermaster of CO "B" in 2009 and 2010 as well as liason to Hill's Fort Society when CO "B" made Hill's Fort. their headquarters. Robert is 45 and has lived in Granite City, IL most of his life. He works in the Granite City School Dist. as a custodian. He joined the Rangers in 2002, while Camp du Bois, Wood River Site was being built. Having a love for history, he was first interested in reenacting over 20 years ago, walking the rendezvous; "It would take me back in time, a time where self reliance and perserverence was important, as it is to me."Seeing the sites and smells, made him more eager to get involved, to learn as well as share the knowledge, he has gained over the years. He believes the best part of reenacting is seeing the childrens excitement, when their senses and minds are filled to the brim.  "It is Honoring the Past, When We Share it with the Future."
